Review:
Oh my heart. I...Zander and Aloha stole my heart. This story was so sweet and beautiful, painful and inspiring, it got me in the feels big time. I teared up because oh, this story. This beautiful, wonderful story of these two people who are everything. I don't know how Lauren Rowe does it, but I am always in awe of how amazing her books are. I heart these Morgan Brothers stories so so much. They are all amazing and I could tear up now just thinking about them.
One quick note before I jump in here - I do not generally like rockstar romances. So Aloha being a rockstar? I was meh on it going into this story. I knew I would probably enjoy it, but it probably wasn't going to be my favorite. Because rockstar romances are not my jam. So I was even more blown away by this author making me totally love this story so so much. Because it is not my thing. To make me love something I normally don't enjoy is incredible.
If you have read the prior Morgan Brothers books then you know Zander. Peenie's brother from another mother. His best friend. The ying to his yang. They are closer than anything and have been forever. Zander has always been there for Peen and everything he went through and he is the best. For reals. He has a habit of falling in love with girls in an instant, but they never seem to work out. His latest girlfriend, Daphne, just crushed him when she left and so he is a bit down. He is not one to be timid and not commit. No, he jumps in right away and sees where the chips will lay. Oh, I loved Zander hardcore. He is one of the best people ever.
Aloha is a superstar, though she has some major issues. My heart hurt for her so much. She is so alone since she has nightmare parents and she doesn't really know what unconditional love is. She has never been in love, doesn't think she ever will be, but she is up for a tour fling. Especially when she starts chatting with Zander who was just made her bodyguard for her tour. She likes him even before she sees him and then...well all bets are off. She is ready to fling with him for the short term...only he won't give in. He obviously wants to hook up with her too, but he doesn't want to get his heart trampled on again. Man, these two were hot hot hot together! Even before they hooked up. I loved reading all the amazing tension and Zander trying to be the good guy and do his job and not get his heart broken. It was wonderful.
Zander and Aloha were perfect for each other. She has issues for sure, she doesn't even know who she is really or what she wants to do after this tour is over, but he compliments her. He is everything she needs and more. He is there for her when she needs someone, he is by her side cheering her on always. I loved them so much. You can see just how amazing Zander is, how much he cares about those he loves through all of his actions. My heart hurt for him at times because he is so sweet, but things are not always as easy as they should be. Of course I wanted everything wonderful for him and oh, I was not disappointed. This story was everything. Everything wonderful and right in the world. I loved getting to know these two and watching them on their journey. I also loved seeing all the Morgan's I have already fallen in love with and what was going on with them. Especially Peenie. He was my first, but definitely not my last. I love these books. I love these stories, these characters, all the feels I always feel. The Morgan's are the best and Zander was no different. Zander and Aloha forever!
