The Wolf's Pursuit (London Fairy Tales #3) by Rachel Van Dyken

Available on

Synopsis:

What happens when one is both Hunter and Wolf?
You know it’s going to be a bad day when you get shot at—twice. Hunter Wolfsbane, Duke of Haverstone, also known as “Wolf” is having exactly one of those days. Things take a turn for the worse when he’s notified that he’ll be acquiring a partner for his newest mission. The rub? He’s kissed her---twice. In his defense, she was already ruined, but it didn’t help matters that she was the sister-in-law to his best friend in the world.

And how does a woman protect her heart from one who has the power to destroy every-thing she holds dear?
Lady Gwendolyn has only one thing on her mind--Finding the Wolf and strangling him where he stands. Unfortunately, she needs him to complete one final mission for the Crown and to keep her family safe. It has absolutely nothing to do with her attraction to him, or his golden eyes, or his wicked smile, or the fact that he’s convinced to keep his heart encased in ice—that is, if he still possesses one.

Review:

If you haven't read Rachel Van Dykens old timey romances you are really missing out. I stumbled across them when I saw she was going to be at a book signing I went to last year and I am so glad I did. I love them. All of them. They are just so much fun!

The Wolf's Pursuit was a great read. Wolf and Red were amazing! They are so much fun!! Now first things first - I normally am not a fan of things at the beginning of chapters. Quotes and such. I normally will just skip them as I am just meh on them in general. But this story had little notes between Red and Wolf and they were so much fun! I actually looked forward to them!

Gwen and Hunter were so much fun! They are both spies, though no one really knows that. Gwen woud do anything for those she cares about and she thinks that because she is a spy she will never be good enough for a husband. And Hunter thinks his past will prevent him from having a happily ever after future. These two were perfect together. They have some history, but phew they are also hot hot hot! And so much fun! I can't say that enough. The situations they are in, the conversations, everything that happens is just plain awesome. Plus I loved seeing Dominique and Isabelle from the last book, both of whom I loved!

All of the author's old-timey stories are fantastic and this one is no different. If you are a RVD fan you should check them out. They are by far my favorite genre she writes. I have loved every one I have read. Silly, fun, ridiculous, hot and sexy, and just plain great!
