Review:
I don't really know why I loved Beautiful Bastard as much as I did. Well...that might not be completely true. It is because I loved the hot sexy times between these two characters. Really this book is a lot of sexy times so if you start it, don't like it in the first chapter, then you probably are not going to enjoy the book. If you are like me and find yourself strangely drawn into this story of people who hate each other having sex all over the office then read on. And enjoy every minute of it.
Chloe is almost done with her internship. She just has a few more months working with the bastard Bennett Ryan before she will hopefully have her pick of jobs. She is great at what she does and she can handle anything her boss throws at her. She doesn't know why he is such a jerk all the time, but only a few more months and she could move on to something else. After all she hates her boss.
Bennett hates Chloe. Or he thinks he does. She is so gorgeous and tempts him like no other, but she is a shrew. Always harping and oh he hates her. So why does he want to get in her pants every two seconds? Why do her dresses drive him crazy? Maybe if he just gets a taste he can get it out of his system and move on.
When Mr. Ryan is in a particularly bad mood one day and makes Chloe stay late to go over some things it doesn't turn out the way she imagined. He breaks, she lets him and oh does she enjoy it. In the conference room. Phew! I loved it. So so much.
After that it is lots of the two having sexy time fun. I loved how strong and stubborn both of these characters were. They both gave as good as they got and oh it was fun. And hot. And awesome. Sure you get some feelings mixed in there and I loved watching them go from hate fucking to really having something (if they can figure out how to do that without Chloe sacrificing her integrity at her job). This was a fun read, surprisingly so as I normally am just so so on books like this. I loved these characters, I enjoyed reading this story, and by the end I wanted everything to work out for them. I can't wait to read more.
