Review:
Dirty is the second book in the Raw Family series and man was it good. It has been a while since I read the first book, and I don't remember much except the ending (btw you should really read Raw before reading Dirty - there are spoilers for Raw if you read on!!), but as soon as I saw this book was coming out I was excited to read more. I knew it wouldn't be about Twitch, but still I couldn't wait. I wanted to get to know some more characters and see where everything would go from the last one.
This book was so much fun to read! Julius and Ling Ling and Alejandra and everyone were just so much fun! I loved Julius hardcore. He was really close with Twitch and when he died Julius took it hard. And his partner Ling Ling as well. Okay, I love that he calls her Ling Ling cause it always makes me picture this little Asian girl who is harmless, but we all know Ling will mess you up. I love the contrast so so much. The two of them get called in to settle a dispute between two families, two Mob families, and Alejandra gets mixed up in all of it.
Now Alejandra? Oh goodness did I love reading her. She is one of the strongest, smartest, best females I have read. Loved her. She is an amazing actress, can put up with so so much, more than anyone should have to, and still be able to do what she needs to when the opportunity arises. I loved her so much. Her marriage looks good from the outside, they look like the perfect married couple, but oh they are not. Man her husband and his brothers are messed up. Seriously. I don't know how she survived living with them. She is so strong.
Now when the opportunity arises to change her situation she takes it. She doesn't hesitate, she goes for it. She does what she has to. She fights. She doesn't back down. Even when she gets into a bad situation she fights it. Oh, it was great. Though when she ends up with Julius and Ling things do get a bit tricky. Ling is not happy, Julius is intrigued and shouldn't be, it all becomes kind of a mess. Then they all have to figure out what to do about it and how to get out of the situation they are in.
I loved this story. I will say some of the characters surprised me and I cannot wait for the next book! I want to see some of the people get what they deserve. And I want to see how it will all go down. Plus, Twitch will be back! I am glad we got a bit of his story in here. What he has been doing since the end of the last book. What his life is like. I loved him, I loved Julius, I loved Alejandra, I loved them all! Go read this book. It was amazing and now I have to try and patiently wait for more...
