Review:

Oh man, Warped was an amazing read. Seriously. You should all go get this book and read it on release day. Or, for those who are new to Emma James, read Wrenched now so you are good to go next week. I should note that Warped is the second book in a series and is NOT a standalone. You have to have read Wrenched prior to this book or you will be lost. For reals. Now onto the review.

Warped. Man, what a crazy ride this book is. I enjoy all of the authors work, but Warped really blew me away. This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was just wanting to get through it as quickly as possible because I need to see what happens, but also wanted to savor it and make it last longer. It was so good. Emma really created a wonderfully twisted world that I can't get enough of! I am eager for more. I need to see how everything works itself out. And let me tell you it is probably not going to be pretty when it is all said and done, but hopefully the bad guys get what's coming to them. Such a great read.

I will say I normally don't read motorcycle club books. If you look you will see they are not something I enjoy. But Warped? Yes, Edge is part of a MC, but this doesn't read like a normal MC book which is why it works for me. It is not just about him and the club. There is a storyline there, other things that happen, and the club is just part of who he is.

Now this book picks up where the first left off. Whisper, Edge, Miss Catherine and the whole gang are caught up in this giant, nasty web. I love how there are so many players, so many people you get to know and root for or against, so much fun to read. Whisper is not in a good way and has no real hope of being in a good place anytime soon. She can only hope she stays strong and her family can find her wherever she is. She has been dealt more than her fair share of hardships in life, but she is still kicking. I really don't think anyone will get this girl down. She is a fighter and now she has something to fight for so it is game on.

Really no one is in good shape when this book starts off. Edge has some problems that keep him from doing what he needs to do. I loved watching him try to figure out what is going on, try to fight the demons from his past and get everything straightened out. He is one person I would not want to mess with, but man he is fun to read. He will stop at nothing to get Whisper back and oh his story...yeah. I can't wait to read more and see what he does next. Amazing. The other boys? Linc and Boxer? Ah I don't want to spoil anything but this author is an evil genius when it comes to her storyline. The twists and turns, the people who are involved and all the things you find out? Amazing. This story definitely didn't hold back and kept me wanting more.

Oh and don't forget about Miss Catherine. Whisper was very fortunate to have found her and dem bones. Plus she is not as fragile as she looks. Through it all, all the dark and twisted places this story goes, you are left rooting for these characters. I don't want bad things to happen to any of them (except the ones who obviously deserve it), but sometimes things get worse before they can get better. You definitely want to get this book when it comes out. You won't be disappointed.

*Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
