Synopsis:

Teagan Cross, college senior, rebel, and wiseass extraordinaire, goes from princess to pauper in a single phone call. Overnight, her life of privilege becomes one of survival, and no matter where she turns, it seems like the world is out to get her. She's not going to fall apart, though. She's a rebel and she's strong … determined to live life on her own terms … and nothing's going to stop her from getting things done and making things right. But when a twist of fate brings her to the doorstep of a different kind of Rebel, she's forced to figure out when something's worth fighting for and when something's worth letting go.

Review:

Rebel is one of those books that I shouldn't have liked, but I actually loved. If someone would just tell me about the characters in detail, mainly Teagan, and the story and everything I probably would have passed on reading it. Teagan should have annoyed me greatly, but I just found her to be fun. I don't know why as she has a lot of qualities I don't normally enjoy reading. I love when that happens though. When an author makes me enjoy something I usually wouldn't.

Teagan is almost ready to graduate college when her father dies leaving her with nothing. She has a step-mother who is atrocious and a trust fund she can't get to until she is older, so she really doesn't have anything. No place to live, no money, no income, nothing but her bff. She is determined to figure it all out and take care of herself. Oh she was fun even if she did act like she was very young. She is so naive and doesn't know how the world works at all, which on one hand seems like it is impossible for her to be so unknowing about anything with how old she is, but on the other hand she seems like she really is just that naive. She was cute even if she wasn't the smartest at all times. She also is a bit crazy and all over the place which again endeared me to her somehow. Normally I would find her freaking out every two seconds, saying the exact opposite of what she means all the time, pushing the guy she likes away time and time again, not letting people help her because....well I don't really know why she would freak out all the time over nothing. Most times I would find characters like her so frustrating to read, but not her. Like when Rebel tried to help her when she was afraid to be alone and she would just say horrible things to him that she didn't mean and make him leave. It didn't make much sense, but somehow with her it did. I don't know if that makes sense. She was just a mess, but I really enjoyed reading her. Yes, she seemed like she was much younger than she was, but I loved her crazy ways.

And Rebel? Yeah. He is...everything I like in my book guys. Rebel is a very stoic guy. He doesn't like to waste words and so he doesn't talk very much. Oh I loved it. I especially loved the contrast between him and Teagan. He would just stand there saying nothing while she would just flit about talking a mile a minute and getting herself into situations that were just fun and ridiculous. She came in and turns his world upside down. Really she came in and refused to leave. She needed a job so she made one and made him accept her. And my goodness was he hot in all his silent ways. I loved him. He is such a great guy, always looking out for his brothers and those he cares about. He would do anything for them. Ah I loved it.

These two don't have it easy, especially with Teagan trying not to want what she wants. It was so sweet once Rebel starts opening up and talking about his past a bit. They really are great together. I loved them so much!! Through it all Teagan is also dealing with her fathers death and the toy car he sent her to keep safe. She is not the smartest, never thinks there might be more to it than just a toy car, but it was fun. Of course there is more to the story, more danger and intrigue, but overall it is just a super fun read. I really loved most everything about it and I can't wait to read the next books in the series! I don't know that I will love the other brothers as much as Rebel, but it will be a fun ride nonetheless!
