Review:

A Cowboy for Christmas was an alright Christmas read. The basic story is Annie and Carson used to be an item, but then she left him brokenhearted when she moved away. Now she is back, and there is still that attraction between them, but will she stay this time

Carson seems like a great guy. He was married, but his wife died in a car accident a number of years ago. He was heartbroken when Annie left town, but he managed to move on. He still has his son to raise and is just a really good guy. When he sees Annie in town again he wants to get to know her, wants to see if they still had what they once did. At the same time he is worried that she will run again and leave him broken hearted once more. Though it is hard to stay away...

Annie never wanted to live in Marietta. She always wanted to go out and experience the world. She tired, was married, but her husband was a disaster and now she is crawling back with nothing. She has nowhere else to go and so she is planning on staying for a bit to figure out her next move. Even though she is loving being back, realizing that she missed that small town feel, missed people helping each other and being like family, she still is determined not to stay. Even though she keeps thinking this feels like home, being with Carson is like being home, being with him is amazing, she thinks she needs to go. Why? Well because she said she would never live in Marietta when she was a teenager! So she must stick with that...really she is why this was just an okay read for me. She annoyed me greatly. For most of the story it was just like I love it here, but I can't stay. I love Carson and he loves me, that means we can't be together. This is perfect and I love this, but this is not what I think ideal should be so I will just throw it away. Sure what she thought she wanted was not what she wanted, but let's hold so tight to what you should want and not let what you do want come in. She just annoyed me. So an alright read, but not my favorite Christmas story.
