Savage Secrets (Titan Book 4)

Synopsis:

Caterina Cruz has no home. No loyalties. No objection to exacting torturous revenge. Her life’s mission is to destroy the terrorist who murdered her family. Then she steps into an elaborate game of charades alongside a Titan Group operative posing as an arms dealer—and her newlywed husband. The sexy distraction may be more than she can handle.

Attacked with a psychedelic drug weeks before, Rocco Savage is plagued with hallucinations that threaten his new rank as Titan’s second-in-command. No one knows and he wants to keep it that way. Throwing him further off his game, he now has a wife with her own secrets he can’t crack and an agenda he can’t control.

Their mission—an elaborate deception of heated glances and passionate kisses—spins out of control. With Rocco's mind already compromised, can he keep his secret and his distance? And with Caterina's tragic past controlling her every move, can she keep the con up long enough to secure her revenge? Or will both go down in flames?

Adult audiences: book includes violent scenes.

Review:

Man these Titan series book are always so intense! I love them, but I can't stop reading once I start. There is always a lot of action, people in trouble, Titan coming to save the day, just lots of intense situations. Savage Secrets was no different. I wish these characters were real as I would love to hang out with them all for a while. I just love every last one of them.

Savage Secrets is the story of Caterina and Rocco. Rocco who was stabbed in a fight a few weeks ago that causes him to still hallucinate once and a while. He hates it since he doesn't have any control over it and never knows when it will happen. But he can't tell anyone or else he will get kicked off the team and he does not want that. I really liked him. He is such a sweetheart but you wouldn't want to get on his bad side.

Caterina is a special operative who is trying to take down the bad guy terrorist who killed her family in front of her years ago. She has been on a revenge mission ever since then. She is this fiery Spanish girl who first meets Rocco when he is tripping. He is stumbling down the street and she helps him back to his hotel. He doesn't remember in the morning, but she definitely remembers him.

When an opportunity opens up for Caterina to get close to the guy she has been hunting she calls in Rocco to be her partner in crime. He is supposed to pose as an arms dealer the bad guy has never seen before and Caterina his new wife. Of course Rocco tries to not think about Caterina as more than a partner, knows that would be a bad idea, but he can't help it. After watching most everyone else settle down he tried that as well, but he chose the wrong partner. Caterina though....There is just something about her. He doesn't always understand what she says, but he loves it when she talks Spanish to him. When she gets all riled up and angry rants to him and he doesn't understand anything she is saying, he is in heaven. He was so cute!

Caterina thinks once Rocco knows what she is really about, what her end game is, he will hate her. After all he is a play by the rules kind of guy and she is determined to kill the bad guy not hand him over. Of course he doesn't though. I mean how could he? He is totally falling in love with her. He can't stop thinking about her and he does what needs to be done.

I love all these big, tough Titan guys and how they try to just fix everything. Sometimes you can't fix things for other, sometimes you have to let others fix things for themselves. It takes Rocco a long time to come to grips with that, and he almost doesn't, but in the end it all works out. Caterina can be a bit of an idiot at times, there were times where I was yelling at her to stop and think or two seconds as obviously something bad is going to happen here, but I still loved it. Her quest for revenge was very deeply ingrained so the end was a bit rocky, she doesn't always think straight, but Rocco is such a great guy he won't let her just fade away from him. I love these stories. I love all the characters, I love all the secret missions, I love all the ladies, I just love them. Another great read in this series.
