Review:

After being a bit disappointed in Breakable I put off reading Sweet for a bit. I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy it, but let me just say I shouldn't have had any worries. This story was heartbreaking and sweet and just perfect. Boyce is amazing. I loved him so so much and he is perfect for Pearl. Oh this book made me feel all the feels.

Boyce has not had the best upbringing. His mom left when he was seven leaving him with his abusive alcoholic dad. He hasn't really had much that has gone right in his life, but he has always had Pearl. Just not like he has always wanted her. They have been sorta friends forever, both liking the other as more but neither willing to say anything about it.

Pearl has always been planning on going to medical school and becoming a doctor. Everything she has worked for has lead her to this, only now she realizes she doesn't want to be a doctor. She misses her small hometown on the water. She missed the water, the creatures in it, she just misses her home. When she gets into the program she secretly applied to in her hometown she gives everything up to move back home. Her mom is not very happy with her and lashes out, but she still has Boyce to help her deal with everything.

Oh Boyce and Pearl. They were so great together and I just loved reading them! It is one of those times that you get both points of view so you can see how each of them thinks at certain times. It is one of those stories that if one of them would just say something they would get to happily ever after that much sooner. It makes sense why neither does, but oh I couldn't wait for them to realize they have both been in love with the other forever. The tension between them...oh it was so great to read. I loved them so much! When things come and shake things up for Boyce again he is even more uncertain about what to do with Pearl. He definitely has the he is not good enough for her thing going on. He has never had much, but he wants everything for her so he wants to have something to show for himself before he tries to win her over.

Pearl has her own issues to deal with, though they are not as bad as Boyce. They have their ups and downs, but the end is so sweet. Boyce almost made me cry with how incredible he is. I was so happy to see these two get what they always wanted and definitely deserved. This book was definitely sweet, and hot, and just perfect! Loved it!
