Fallen (Blood & Roses #4) by Callie Hart

Fallen (Blood & Roses series Book 4)

Synopsis:

Sloane

For over two years, Sloane Romera has pinned everything on finding Alexis. Life was going to get better. Easier. Happier. The nightmare of having a missing sister was supposed to end, and everything was supposed to go back to normal.
However, now that she’s found her sister, Sloane is discovering that life has a way of ridiculing what we expect of it.
Nothing is easier.
And ‘normal’ is falling for a man who might never be able to feel the same way.

Zeth

A lengthy history of breaking things with his fists has given Zeth Mayfair a fairly good idea of how to get his own way. But when his goal, the one, single woman on the face of the planet that he’s truly ever wanted, can only be obtained by fixing things instead of destroying them, how can he adjust a lifetime of violence in order to make her his once and for all? And how can he make sure that she is safe?
The first part is going to take time. But the second part…
The second part is easy.
He must kill Charlie Holsan.

Review:

*Please note you should have read the prior books before since this is a continuation of the same story*

Man oh man. Fallen is the fourth book in this series and wow, Zeth and Sloane just keep getting more and more obstacles to overcome. Now that they have found Sloane's sister and she doesn't need their help they have more important things to worry about. Namely Charlie. The only way these two have a chance at a happily ever after is if they get Charlie out of the way, which is no easy task.

Zeth and Sloane are still just as hot as they were in the prior books. Zeth is starting to open up to her more though. He is starting to show her that there is a weaker, more sensitive side to him. One that he doesn't let out very often, but is just good to know is there. In this book Sloane and Zeth really become something solid. I loved all the moments between them. I loved how Sloane could really acknowledge to herself how he is what she wants. She wants all the dark parts of him, she loves how he is and what he makes her feel. I love Zeth so much! He is one of my favorite guys I have read.

So throughout this book Zeth is trying to figure out how to get rid of Charlie and keep Sloane and Lacey safe. Lacey's is seeing Pippa, Sloane's "friend" who just gets on my nerves. She is so judgmental about Zeth and everything that Sloane is doing now and has been from the beginning. Through these books I don't really know how Sloane stands to be her friend. I sure wouldn't put up with her attitude, and Sloane does finally start to get tired of it herself. Pippa is one character that I don't really care to read more of. I hope Sloane just kicks her out of her life as she doesn't deserve to be in it.

Man everything that happens in this book is just....crazy! You just keep reading so you can try and see what happens. It is kind of intense, and they have a new added complication, the DEA agent. Man the more I read, the more complicated everything gets, the more I just don't know how they are ever going to get out of this. So many pieces get added, more people after them, so it just looks like it will be impossible to get everything to work out in a good way. We shall see what happens next!
