Review:
Becoming Noah Baxter is the second part of Lily and Jay's story. I loved the first book so I was excited to see how everything would play out. This book picked up right after the last book. Lily and Jay are separated while Jay tries to take on the Marker.
The book starts out from Jay's point of view which I loved. He is trying to track down Arianna, who he was not able to save at the end of the last book. You can see how he blames himself for most things and how much he cared for Lily. He is not used to caring for people, he was not raised with lots of love and connection, so it is different for him. I loved him. He was so cute trying to be a better person so he would feel somewhat like he deserves to be with her. He wants to be everything for her. I loved it.
Lily is sitting at home going a little crazy with worry. She doesn't know if Jay is okay or not and she doesn't really have a way to get a hold of him. He does start calling and it was not super romantic or anything, but the simple little non conversations were kind of sweet. You can just see how hard this is for both of them. You can see how much Jay wants a normal life with Lily and how hard this not knowing what will happen is on her. I loved it.
When they do reunite it is hot. There is lots of sexy time, but I loved it. Jay is so sweet and cute and ah I really liked him a lot. Lily is so perfect for him! She likes shooting, is kind of a badass, and works perfectly with this hit man. She doesn't take any gruff from him either. She doesn't from anyone now. She is cute and fun and just a nice person.
So I loved Lily and Jay and watching them together. Yes, the big showdown at the end with the Marker was a little lame, but I liked Jay so much I didn't really care. I just wanted to see them get their happily ever after and see them together as a normal couple. Oh and when Jay first meets Lily's family...soo cute! Ah, he was amazing. Loved the story, can't wait for more by this author.
