The Home Court Advantage (Lawyers in Love)

Synopsis:

Once upon a time, two lawyers fell in love across a courtroom ...

Gabrielle and Braden have fallen in love and face a bright future together if they can just survive all of the crazy people they encounter, like anonymous napkin droppers, UFO enthusiasts, crooked businessmen, nude drunk drivers, and a woman who tries to break into jail. When the gavel falls will the verdict be happily ever after?

Come join the fun as the sexiest couple in the Philadelphia Criminal Court System shares more witty banter and red hot lovin' with a dash of mystery thrown in. The story that began with The Law of Attraction concludes with lots of love and laughter in The Home Court Advantage.

Review:

So I remember really enjoying the first Lawyers in Love book. I remember it being humorous and fun and yeah. It has been a while and I was reminded of the series again when I saw the third book was coming out so I thought oh I should go read Home Court Advantage. Well...I don't know why I didn't really like it. Was the first book like this one? Was it just so so with lots and lots of sex? I don't know. I read the first half and kind of thought okay when are we going to get to some story besides Gabrielle and Braden having sexy time? It just felt like that is all they do!

Then we do have some court cases that are ridiculous and fun, but I don't know. There were also large parts in the middle, when everyone goes away together, where it was way too detailed. Like details about where everyone was sitting at every moment of every scene for no real reason. It didn't matter as it was really a nothing scene. Nothing really happened, but we kept getting details of where exactly everyone was for no reason. I don't know why this book annoyed me so much since I thought I loved the first one...

There is still the stalker/note leaver in this book. It is brought up more as the story goes on and is a bit ridiculous when they catch the guy, but that is the whole point. I know the book is supposed to be humorous, but it was missing something for me. I don't know. I am going to give the next book a try and hopefully I will enjoy it more. Hopefully it is not just sex.
